Meroe City of Iron


Issued with its individual packet of pencils, this dual-language English-Arabic children’s book centres on Maawia and Hwida, two Sudanese children who are excavating at Meroe as part of the archaeological team. The illustrations bring to life the historical processes taking place, each page highlighting a different part of the iron production process.
